Design

Our Mermaid Silver Anodized line is made to give you consistently excellent bakes. Because of its exceptional heat conductivity and capacity to ensure consistent bakes in a shorter amount of time, the range is made of aluminium.

The range’s smooth satin finish is the result of the anodizing process, which hardens and seals the aluminum’s exterior layer and gives it an easy-release, easy-to-clean surface that won’t leach, peel, or rust. With continued use, the surface will become more textured and practically non-stick.

Care

Before first use remove any labels from the product and wash in warm soapy water before use. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly.

Cooking

Oven safe to 230°c / 446°F / Gas Mark 8. Suitable for use from oven to hob. Can be used on the hob, however we advise proceeding with caution as the hob may discolour the product and compromise its performace. No chemicals such as PTFE or PFOA’s are used in the coating, meaning that the bakeware is always safe to use. Over time the bakeware will improve, becoming virtually non-stick as it will develop a natural patina.

Seasoning

We do not recommend seasoning Mermaid Silver Anodised bakeware products as with regular use they will build up a natural patina, making them virtually non-stick.

Cleaning

Clean by hand using a sponge and washing up liquid, fill the pan with warm soapy water and leave to soak if necessary. The bakeware should then be hand washed in warm soapy water, rinsed and dried. Never put hard anodised products into a dishwasher as the caustic nature of the detergent will damage the bakeware. If stubborn stains persist, simply soak in warm soapy water and use a nylon scourer to remove any residue. Avoid the use of any caustic cleaning solutions. Never plunge a hot pan into cold water as extremes of temperature can cause distortion. Acidic foodstuffs may mark the product if it is left in the pan for any length of time. Ensure that your bakeware is clean and dry before storing.
