Description
How to use the banneton:
- Sprinkle flour around the inside of the banneton to form a light coating.
- Shape your dough mix to resemble that of an rounded shape.
- Gently add the dough mix, cover and leave your dough to rise.
- Remove your dough taking care to ensure that the imprinted underside faces upwards.
They come in a variety of materials (cane, wicker or plastic) and a range of shapes.
Bannetons are also referred to as brotforms and proofing baskets.
